COMMUNICATE ONLINE - NOW MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER.

Working from the home office is the motto during these COVID-19 times. Whoever has the technical means to do so, does it. For most, it has been a seamless transition thanks in part to Google and Microsoft. Organizing and coordinating projects even across borders is technically not an issue, and has already been implemented by many companies. In cases where it was just another option, it has now become a must. So, all is well and half as wild in the beautiful (new) online world? Well...not quite! Many companies that created brand and product experiences, who customarily communicated in analog or real-world communication before the virus, are now facing a new set challenge. Because traditional channels suddenly no longer work, questions arise: "WHAT do we actually communicate to our customers? And HOW and with WHAT formats should be used to best reach them? HOW can we produce content when film and photo shoots, trade fairs, press meetings, conferences, product launches and other events are no longer easy to implement due to ongoing social distancing regulations?

High quality content to stand out from the masses

For those who have been very active online in the past and gained experience in social and online marketing the path will be less difficult. High quality content allowed them to stand out from the crowd and establish a loyal fanbase or brandlover. For those who do not have or have a limited online presence, they should implement one and quickly. When doing this, it certainly won’t hurt to have a few basic thoughts about the process. If online communication becomes the main form of sharing content, then this content must be of high quality. It should be appealing and perceived as relevant in order for it to stand out from the sea of content around it. What may sound difficult at first also holds a great opportunity. Due to this new surge in online traffic, those with the right ideas and implement the appropriate measures, can reach many more people and ultimately potential customers.
