In February 2019 we expanded by establishing our third location. Hamburg became our new outpost and Oliver Schütte was selected as Managing Director and Head of Content. With the proper personnel in place and the conscious decision of expanding in this media metropolis we emphasise to act as a hybrid of a film production company and all around communications agency for our current and future clients. While the focus of the Austrian studios in Tyrol and Salzburg is on film productions, the team in Hamburg focuses on strategy, consulting, content management and campaign implementation. With Oliver Schütte on our team, Epic Minutes now has in-house more than twenty years of know-how and experience in PR, advertising, media planning and social media consulting. Before Oliver came on board, he was responsible for PR, social media and media planning as Director of the WPP/Commarco agency Brand Pier (ex-Scholz & Friends Brand Affairs). Oliver and Domenico first met twenty years ago. They developed a relationship of appreciation and mutual respect while Oliver was overseeing PR for Domenico's New Economy Start-Up. For Domenico, Oliver was the ideal choice: "Epic Minutes has grown very quickly since its founding four years ago. When we secured Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG as a client, it was necessary to strengthen ourselves in this content field and we decided to create a new position. Oliver has known Epic Minutes and our business model from the very beginning. He is therefore well prepared for the task of driving the development of the Hamburg studio, as Head of Content, as well as responsible for the content direction for all three locations".

For Oliver, the Epic Minutes business model is the future of communication. Current studies indicate that by 2021, over 80% of online content will be video. Classic brand and product PR is doomed to decline in the medium term due to editorial freedom no longer being available in all media. Big media companies have in a sense taken control of whose content gets pushed to the forefront, even though it is not openly discussed, it has become a “Cash is King” scenario. This is why the quality of the content of your own channels is becoming increasingly important. You could call it PR 4.0. In addition to this, people's attention spans are shortening. Hardly anyone takes the time to consume news in written form anymore. It’s important to present information in an entertaining way. Films are the ideal tool. Establishing the Hamburg location and being responsible for the content of three locations, that network seamlessly, is a great mission with extremely high potential!
